Join PBSCA for a northwest wine tasting of Remy Wines with Erin Butler
This virtual tasting will be hosted by Erin Butler from Remy Wines. Erin Butler is an Italian Wine Scholar recognized by WSET and the Wine Scholar Guild. During this event we will be tasting two Remy wines:
1) 2019 Three Wives Fischerman's Pinot Gris. Named in honor of Remy's mother whose maiden name is Fischer and also a wink to The Tale of the Three Wives. This is a 100% Pinot Gris from the Willamette Valley, OR. This wine has peach blossom aromas, watermelon, and green apple flavors, it has a nice structure with a fresh hay finish.
2) 2018 Remy Wines Kiona Sangiovese. This 100% Sangiovese from Kiona Vineyard in the Red Mountain AVA in eastern Washington was aged in the barrel for 14 months. This wine tastes of savory ripe strawberries, orange zest, and has a terra-cotta finish. It is a little trip to Italy in the glass.
This wine tasting will compare Remy's Oregon wines to wines produced in Emelia-Romagna.
It wouldn't be a wine tasting without wine! Two bottles of wine are included with registration and will be available for pick up in town.
There will also be a raffle including two individual wine tastings at the Remy Winery in the Dundee Hills.
