Meet the team: Paola Francavilla

Portland Bologna Sister City Association is delighted to introduce you to another board member, Paola Francavilla. Paola was born and raised in Torino, Italy. After living in Germany, the U.K., and Belgium, she moved to Portland in January of 2022. She joined PBSCA because she wanted to feel closer to home, even though she’s now practically on the other side of the world, and is delighted to have found a community that loves Italy and Italian culture as much as she does.

Paola is PBSCA’s community manager, which means she handles all of our social media and takes a lead role in planning events. She also works in marketing for a company in the 3D printing industry. When she’s not posting videos about how to pronounce Italian words on Instagram or making sure we have plenty of gelato to go around, she loves exploring Portland’s great culinary scene, practicing pole dancing (she’s amazing!), and growing fruits and vegetables on the balcony of her new house.
